Yeah my gazebo is still lying in the back yard in pieces. Since last autumn. Ruined. Unfixable. Only a year or so old. Wind storm here in Western Maryland. I hate the wind. Gazebos aren’t cheap!
Wow! That was some serious weather! I don't think I have ever seen a fire tornado! I have been in a couple and around a few more. We get an ominous green sky that is our tornado warning. Then it's hail and wind and large debris floating in the sky! We live at the base of the Colorado Rockies and have been in some deep snowstorms. Floods, too. But, no, I am not moving to an area where there are alligators and floods! Not for me!
What is he doing? Western people will only walk 500 miles for love or to avoid being caught doing something stupid. When you're caught your money kicks in. You're going to get soaked or burn yourself to to save what you can't afford to replace.
Just a note, BYD has a production model car that actually does turn into a boat AUTOMATICALLY, after first sealing the doors, also automatically, when the possibility of a wave in the water you're driving through being high enough to overwhelm the normal water penetration prevention of a regular door.
Oh, and then they went almost full Bond, so not only is it drivable with a flat tire, it's drivable with a wheel and motor ripped off, and comes with a DRONE that you can launch while driving and will land itself, automatically, back on its charging station on the roof of your moving car.
All because the son of illiterate peasants insisted that his company's cars shouldn't be a danger to their occupants after a single incident when after being reduced to a mangled wreck the occupants of one couldn't get out before the damaged lithium ion battery started burning.
No, he didn't authorize the investment of time and money of anything other than a battery that you could take a nail gun to and not have it fail catastrophically. His management team decided that he wouldn't need to be bothered by such an obvious extension of his decision.
What's next? I imagine someone has taken note of the dangers of a car being caught in a raging wildfire and there's teams brainstorming about what improvements (or complete redesign from scratch) are needed to make that situation survivabile, in full self driving mode, and no external connectivity.
PS, that's a civilian production model for the mass market. What do you think their MILITARY vehicles are already capable of, and what next year's models will be like?
